The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project finance, specifically focusing on renewable project finance, tax credit monetization transactions, energy transition, natural resources, and infrastructure.Duties and Responsibilities:Advise clients on complex project finance transactions, including structuring, negotiating, and documenting.Work on renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, hydro, and biomass.Manage tax credit monetization transactions and provide guidance on relevant tax implications.Assist clients with energy transition projects, focusing on sustainable and environmentally friendly initiatives.Handle natural resources projects, including mining, oil, and gas.Oversee infrastructure finance transactions, including public-private partnerships (PPP), transportation, and utilities.Conduct due diligence and draft, review, and negotiate various finance documents.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide comprehensive legal support to clients.Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting project finance and energy sectors.Mentor and provide guidance to junior associates and support staff.Requirements:3-5 years of experience in project finance, with a focus on renewable project finance, tax credit monetization transactions, energy transition, natural resources, and/or infrastructure.Previous experience at a top-tier law firm is strongly preferred.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.Excellent analytical, negotiation, and drafting skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the California Bar (or eligibility to become admitted promptly).Skills:In-depth knowledge of project finance and related legal principles.Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex finance documents.Strong research and analytical skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong client service orientation and business acumen.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Company info
