We are looking for a collaborative Word Wiz with copywriting experience or a stellar portfolio with internship experience. This Junior Copywriter will partner with art directors and work under the direction of an Associate Creative Director to write eCommerce copy, banner ads, social posts, radio spots and event marketing activations for Arc’s largest client, Unilever. The ideal candidate is a quick learner and self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and feels comfortable contributing during group brainstorms. Successful candidates will be detail oriented and able to effectively juggle many projects across multiple retailers (Target, Kroger, Walmart and 20+ more) in the personal care, home care and food categories. You’ll have the opportunity to work on some of the biggest CPG brands in the business—Dove, AXE, SheaMoisture, Breyers, Hellmann’s and Knorr, to name a few.ResponsibilitiesCraft compelling shopper marketing ideas and persuasive copy for retailer-specific activations across mediaContribute to brainstorming, idea development and creative executionWork with senior creative or project leads to ensure copy tone and style are consistent with brand standardsTranslate ideas into effective copy concepts and communicationDevelop strong relationships and trust with creative, account and strategy team membersBe receptive to feedback and be able to make updates on the flyQualifications
A degree or portfolio school diploma in English, journalism, communications, or a related field1-3 years’ experience as an advertising or marketing copywriter or working internships that equateMust have online portfolio or PDF representing campaign ideas or executions, strategic conceptual ideation, attention to detail and a variety in voice and writing styleA solid understanding of marketing and advertising principlesExceptional writing skills and attention to detail and grammarAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle different writing demandsEar to the ground when it comes to pop culture and emerging trends/technologiesAdditional Information
