Technical Specialist - Battery

Missions

1. Research, develop, and optimize battery technologies to enhance energy storage capacity, efficiency, and lifespan.

2. Design and implement advanced battery management systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate battery technologies into various applications, such as electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, and grid-scale storage.

4. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments in the battery sector.

5. Provide technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders, including engineers, project managers, and clients on optimizing battery design and commercialization to bring product to market.

6. Conduct performance analysis, testing, and evaluation of battery systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.

7. Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization in battery production and recycling processes.

Qualifications:

Japanese language skills at a native level.

Prior experience bringing battery products to market as an engineering leader.

Proficiency in battery chemistries, including lithium-ion, solid-state, and emerging technologies.

Strong knowledge of battery cell/pack design and manufacturing processes and quality control procedures.

Experience with battery testing, characterization, and performance analysis techniques.

Familiarity with battery management systems (BMS), including state-of-charge (SOC) and state-of-health (SOH) monitoring.

Understanding of energy storage applications, such as electric vehicles, industrial, marine, renewable energy integration, and grid-scale storage.

Proficient in battery modeling and simulation software.

Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 26262 and IEC 62133.

Japanese language skills, proficiency in speaking and reading.

Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.

Effective communication and collaboration skills. Ability to influence others and drive execution.
