- The Children’s Museum is searching for an Educator to help us achieve our mission of inspiring growth in all children by engaging families in learning through play! This is a part-time as needed position for weekday morning field trip support.Responsibilities

- The Educator is responsible for delivering educational and engaging programs on a variety of pre-determined topics through facilitation of floor programming, school field trips, and additional educational activities at community events and/or offsite locations.Qualifications

- Candidates should have a demonstrable passion for the mission and work of the Museum and a strong desire to make a difference in their community. A strong interest in continuous learning and using new ways to teach is essential; candidates should be comfortable teaching children with diverse backgrounds and education levels. Successful candidates will be organized and proactive with strong collaboration skills. Candidates should have an education background and practical knowledge of teaching in a variety of modes and methods, along with familiarity with the elementary level of Virginia SOL’s and Virginia Early Learning and Development Standards. A valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check is required. This position requires extensive walking, standing, heavy lifting up to fifty pounds, and occasional use of tools.About the Children's Museum
