OIG inspection work is performed under the direction, control, and authority of the Inspector General, and adheres to the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) Quality Standards for Inspection and Evaluation. Responsibilities include assessing whether Agency offices, components, and/or programs are effectively executing their intended mission and comply with Federal law, Executive Orders, Presidential Directives, and other applicable internal regulations and policies. The work entails scoping and conducting a wide range of inspections as team lead or as a part of a team, advising other inspectors and managers of identified problems, making recommendations for corrective actions, and contributing to Inspections Staff-wide activities such as the annual work plan.Specific duties include but are not limited to:Plan and serve key role in a wide range of complex inspections to improve Agency efficiency and effectivenessCollect information and data to support the inspectionAnalyze the information collected; draw conclusions and determine recommendationsReport and/or present inspection findings and recommendations on a range of complex issuesFollow up on recommendations upon issuance of the inspection reportWho You’ll Work With

Every day is an opportunity to enhance U.S. national security.Minimum Requirements:Minimum of 1 year experience working in CIA OIGExtensive knowledge of CIA and IC organization structure and mission activitiesExtensive knowledge of CIA and IC regulations and existing policiesKnowledge of Federal laws, regulations, Executive Orders, Presidential Directives, to ensure compliance in Agency functionsAbility to brief stakeholders on inspection findings, conclusions and recommendationsAbility to write and review final reports documenting the inspection findings and recommendationsAbility to interact with senior officers throughout the CIA, IC, and across government and industryAbility to analyze complex quantitative and qualitative data to decipher trends and identify root causes of problemsAbility to plan and administer complex inspections; identify parameters, including purpose, scope, and resources required to meet established deadlinesAbility to ensure compliance with recommendations and gauge the level of responsiveness to and effects of recommended actionsAbility to benchmark best practices, standards, and processes for complex issuesAbility to elicit information (e.g., interviews, focus groups)Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlinesAbility to give and receive constructive feedbackAbility to use discretion when working with confidential data to protect information and sourcesAbility to determine appropriate policies and procedures to apply and adhere to when working in a collective environment where multiple agencies work together on projects or initiativesKnowledge of the Council of Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) Quality Standards for Inspection and Evaluation
