The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in patent prosecution, application drafting, and diligence, with a strong background in materials science or chemistry.Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare, draft, and prosecute patent applications in the fields of materials science and chemistry.Conduct thorough patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.Provide strategic counsel on patent portfolio management.Collaborate with clients to develop and implement patent strategies aligned with their business objectives.Review and analyze scientific literature, technical documents, and prior art to assess the patentability of inventions.Prepare and respond to office actions issued by the USPTO.Conduct patent due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions.Participate in intellectual property litigation support as needed.Requirements:Minimum of 4 years of experience in patent prosecution, application drafting, and diligence in materials science or chemistry.Experience working in a law firm, USPTO, or relevant industry.Must be registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts or willing to waive in or take the next available Bar exam.Advanced degree (PhD) in materials science or chemistry or equivalent industry experience is preferred.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Advanced degree (PhD) in materials science or chemistry is highly preferred.Certifications:Registration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is mandatory.Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts or eligible for admission.Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Proficiency in conducting patent searches and analyzing patent landscapes.Strong technical background in materials science or chemistry.Company infoBCG Attorney Search225 Franklin Street, 26th floorBostonMassachusettsUnited States 02110Phone :
