As the VP of Product, Messaging you will own the strategy, operational execution, roadmap development and talent development for Twilio’s global messaging product. We are looking for a transformative leader to innovate beyond standard business and customer communication practices. This role will require close partnership with sales to develop towards the customer needs and engineering to deliver value realization/business impact. Though Messaging is a $1B business line today, we operate very similarly to a start up within Twilio. This role requires navigating ambiguity, working in a fast-paced environment, aligning across executive partners and thinking globally. Who?

Twilio is looking for a leader who lives the Twilio Magic and has: 15 years of product management experience building large scale cloud services platforms 10 years people management experience Demonstrated leadership - ability to inspire/lead/recruit/retain successful product management teams Proven track record of results - establishes ambitious goals, achieves/over-achieves those goals and takes overall responsibility for overall business outcomes Innovation and critical thinking - track record of driving companies through transformative change with the ability to see the big-picture while also being hands-on in the details Gravitas - Executive presence, strong communication skills, ability to communicate business value as well as product features/benefits Data-driven - outcomes oriented and a problem solver Customer obsessed - passionate about the customer journey and the customer experience Messaging, marketplace, social, gaming and/or payments domain matter expertise preferred Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or equivalent experience What?

Own product roadmap that delivers products and features that will help drive revenue growth. Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of the team to meet customer demand. RUTHLESSLY PRIORITIZE:

Drive product lifecycle - Collaborate with engineering, user experience, documentation, infrastructure and go-to-market teams to drive the product lifecycle from concept to customer success. Work optimally with customers, partners, executives, and our technology teams to build a well defined and integrated roadmap to deliver on the vision. WEAR THE CUSTOMER’S SHOES:

Represent the customer - Be the champion and voice of customers. Build impactful, personal relationships with customers, engineering teams, and the field. Bring the customer’s voice into the creation process. DRAW THE OWL:

This position can be US-based remote (with occasional travel to the SF Bay area and Denver), or in either our Denver or San Francisco offices. $300,000 - $350,000 Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
