Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and remain flexible as business priorities change.If this sounds like you, we invite you to keep reading and apply!Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesign of deep foundation (drilled shafts, CFA piles, micropiles), ground improvement, and retaining wall systems (CIP, MSE, Segmental Gravity, Soldier Pile and Lagging, Soil Nail, etc.)Formulation of design basis methodology and performance of hand/software calculationsDevelop/maintain existing design clients through interpersonal relationships and with assistance from other senior staff.Manage projects from proposal preparation to final closeoutMentor/Assign design tasks to EIT design engineersInteract with CAD staff on design details and plan notesCommunicate results of engineering analysis, calculations, plans, and recommendations to clientsOther duties as assigned.Working ConditionsIn addition to an office setting the candidate may be exposed to outside weather conditions such as wet and/or humid environments, extreme cold and/or heat, dusty and noisy work environments.Some weekend and overtime work and/or overnight work and travel may be required.May be required to drive hundreds of miles per day.Ability to lift/move up to 75lbs.QualificationsBachelor's degree (B.S.) ABET or an accredited four-year college or university in civil engineering or related field.Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.Familiarity with modern office tools including the use of computer-based programs Microsoft Office, Excel, etc. Any experience such as Settle, SLIDE, AutoCAD, LPILE, GROUP.Possession of a valid Tennessee driver license and an acceptable driving record.Experience with geotechnical design or specialty geotechnical construction (deep foundations, retaining walls, etc).Preferred QualificationsMaster’s level degree or exposure to core civil engineering disciplines through coursework (M.S. or Ph.D.) or work experience in geotechnical engineering.Engineering/Construction background.Who We Are:UES provides essential engineering services for some of the most prominent and significant projects in the nation.
