About the Product Development TeamThe Product Development team consists of a group of dynamic Designers who work collaboratively to make beautiful product for the home.Overview of the Assistant Designer roleThe Assistant Designer role supports the team with sample management, organizing textile library, vendor communication, general organization, and task management.This is a hybrid role - 4 days onsiteResponsibilitiesScan, print and paint textile designsAssist team with spec out process, pitching color positions, folding, printing, and shipping specsOrganize detailed information in a faced paced environment.Help with presentation boards and presentation mockups as neededBe involved in concept set up. Sewing, painting, and folding mock-upsUpdate and maintain seasonal product informationBe proactive; can see what needs to be done and pitch in to helpKeep sample room, textile library, color library, and studio organizedOperate a computer and communicate via telephoneProficient in Microsoft Office & good communication skills. Basic Photoshop & PLM knowledge helpful but not required
CriteriaBachelors or Design degree (or experience in related field)Basic understanding of design/art concepts, lexicon and skillsStrong organizational skillsAbility to prioritize and schedule work in a deadline-driven environmentStrong communication skills
