About the Position:We are working with a Chambers-ranked Chicago-based law firm that has an immediate need for a patent prosecution lawyer to join as a mid-level associate. This cutting-edge firm represents clients in the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, medical device, and cosmetic industries in litigation, regulatory, and IP matters.Highlights:· Chambers-ranked boutique firm· Ranked as one of the best law firms in 2024· Hybrid work flexibilityResponsibilities:· Prepare, file, and prosecute patent applications· Draft new patent applications· Conduct patentability analysis· Assist with patent clearance studies· Prepare client correspondenceRequired Qualifications:· 3+ years of patent prosecution experience in the field of chemical or life sciences and a degree in a biological or chemistry field· Must be registered to practice with the USPTO and previous experience with the food, beverage, nutritional supplement, cosmetics, or pharmaceutical industries is a plus
