Commissioning Systems Specialist

Non-Exempt role (qualifies for overtime)Evening and Weekend work at timesWhat will you do?

Focus on the deployment of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) at various customer types including:Data CentersHealth Care FacilitiesManufacturing/Military/GovernmentCommercial BuildingsUniversitiesCustomer-facing position - the successful candidate must work well in a team environment and will interface directly with contractors and end-users daily often in a construction environment.Responsibilities for this position include:

Perform EPMS software installation, upgrade, customization, and integration;Start-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Schneider Electric and 3rd Party electrical power monitoring equipment such as power quality meters;Device communication troubleshooting and point-to-point checkout by use of a multimeter;Provide customer training for the commissioned system;Hardware component replacements;Consulting with customers to determine system operation requirements;Documenting the as-built system;Travel to customer sites is required so a good driving record is necessary. There is the potential for up to 75% overnight travel.This position requires presence at customer sites and as such, the candidate must be able to obtain the necessary clearance and/or credentials to travel abroad and comply with customer requirements for executing work on their site. The types of credentials that might be required include but are not limited to, Homeland Security clearance, background, and credit checks.What qualifications will make you successful?

Two-year technical degree, with emphasis on electrical power systems or electronics desired;Minimum of one (1) year of experience related to Electrical Power Monitoring Systems; Building Automation Systems, Systems Integration, and/or Energy Management Systems;Knowledge of and ability to interpret contract specifications and electrical drawing packages;Stable work history;Willingness to travel;Excellent verbal and written communication skills;Strong computer skills;Ability to work effectively in a group setting, team-oriented, self-motivated, and results-driven.Desirable Qualifications:

Experience working around electrical equipment such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, etc.;Knowledgeable with basics of electricity, power generation, power distribution, and power quality concepts;Good understanding of industry-standard communication protocols with an emphasis on Modbus, IEC 61850, and BACnet;Knowledgeable in computer networking architectures, topologies, and hardware;HMI configuration experience, including graphical screen development;Direct experience with Schneider Electric proprietary software such as Power Monitoring Expert, Power SCADA Operation, Eco.Compensation:

For this Washington, DC based position, the expected compensation range is $51,200.00 - $76,800.00 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.Let us learn about you!
