The D.C. United Ticket Sales & Service team is looking for talented undergraduate or graduate students aspiring to enter the sports industry to join us as interns for the fall semester of 2024. D.C. United Sales Ticket Sales Interns will be introduced to the sales world with the goal of helping you launch your sales career within the sales industry, while helping fulfill an internship requisite. As a Ticket Sales and Service Intern, you will establish an understanding of the sales process, be introduced to the sales industry, be part of an intern cohort that will work on interdepartmental projects and gain real-life sales experience! Tuesday to Thursday will be in person at the D.C. United offices located at Audi Field. All other days, excluding any game days, will be optional/virtual. The ability to work at least 25 hours per week in the office, work D.C. United home matches, and D.C. United grassroots marketing events is a requirement to be considered for the position.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(including but not limited to the following):Attend onboarding/offboarding sessionsAssist Account Executives and Ticket Sales Managers and Directors with the creation of unique sales campaignsParticipate in sales training and make sales calls to prospective buyersAdministrative duties including data entry, research, and lead generationMatchday responsibilities such as sales table set up, running fan experience programs, and supporting prospecting eventsWillingness to work grassroots marketing events offsiteRepresent D.C. United in a positive imageParticipate in D.C. United Internship CohortOther Duties as assignedCoachable, hardworking, multi-tasking, and positive attitudeAbility to effectively interact with staff and clientsAbility to work flexible schedule inclusive of evenings and weekendsMust be an active college student and receive credit for the internshipKnowledge of basic computer programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Proficient in Spanish is a plus, but not requiredAll candidates must complete a successful background check.D.C.
