Leadership Analysts support U.S. policymakers by producing and delivering written and oral assessments of foreign leaders and key decision-makers.Minimum Requirements
U.S. citizens (dual U.S. citizens also eligible)At least 18 years of ageWilling to move to the Washington, DC areaAble to complete security and medical evaluationsAs a Leadership Analyst at CIA, you’ll support policymakers by producing and delivering written and oral assessments of foreign leaders and key decision-makers. Your analysis will help U.S. policymakers understand their foreign counterparts by examining worldviews, national ambitions and constraints, and the social context for these leaders.Opportunities exist for foreign and domestic travel, language training, analytic tradecraft and management training. You will have an opportunity to develop deep substantive expertise and participate in broadening assignments with other offices in the Agency and across the U.S. Government.Who You’ll Work With

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in one of the following:
Foreign Area StudiesHistoryInternational AffairsPolitical SciencePsychologyPolitical PsychologySociologyAnthropology
Coursework or demonstrated interest in leadership studies, small-group behavior, or decision-makingAt least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale is preferredStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsAwareness of U.S. national security interestsDemonstrated ability to write clear, concise textAbility to work in a team environmentInterest in a career that requires regular writing assignments
