Experience utilizing automated systems, including personal computers/workstations and basic software applications such as word processors, spreadsheets, graphics/presentation packages, databases and e-mail.Requirements:Education/Professional Certifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Hardware, Computer Science or Software Engineering.Experience:Seven (7) years of full-time professional experience in Computer Programming in a complex computer network environment; Three (3) years must have been full-time experience at the system level. Computer Hardware and/or Software Engineering Experience, and is defined as experience in any of the following nine (9) specific areas:Computer program and Approved Articles Package (AAP) documentation development review and maintenance.Computer program generation/tactical disk build and laboratory Load Cycle.Computer Program audit and verification of certified configurations to include combat system software and/or equipment for AAP’s.Computer Program Installations and Shipboard/Site Load Cycle.Coordination of ship/site installations and Fleet issue and resolution.COTS Operating Systems (e.g., HP-UX, HP-RT, Solaris, PowerMax, RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), RedHawk, etc.).Layer 2 and Layer 3 Network Communication Protocols and Cisco IOS configuration and troubleshooting.Versa Module Eurocard (VME) or Compact Peripheral Computer Interface (cPCI) Single-Board Computer (SBC) and Symmetric Multi-Processor (SMP) operation, configuration, architecture and troubleshooting.Blade Servers or other High-density architecture computing systems operation, configuration, architecture, and troubleshooting.Security Clearance:Applicants may be required to have an active security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance as specified in the minimum qualifications. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD government-granted security clearance.
