Weekes is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and experienced Account Manager to join the team. The successful candidate will be in-market in either Omaha, NE or Des Moines IA. and will work closely with all internal and external customers utilizing in-depth knowledge of our products, programs, and team members to solve problems and close sales. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in B2B sales/distribution, customer service, and marketing, ideally with experience in the building materials or construction industry. The candidate must also have excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities: The candidate must:

Plan and execute personal sales strategy to maximize efforts and resultsResearch and identify sales opportunities through work with internal associates, industry publications, online sources, and client and vendor networkingEstablish, develop, and maintain business relationships with prospective and existing customers through phone, email, and in-person meetingsDevelop and deliver effective sales presentations to negotiate and close profitable business across all products and servicesEnsure all clients have the most up-to-date product samples and brochures; work with vendors to ensure proper sales positioningConsult with clients to determine requirements and expectations and recommend specific solutions; calculate estimates to provide competitive pricingInterface with internal team and supply partners as necessary to ensure scheduled deadlines and requests are metExpedite the resolution of customer problems and concernsObtain and maintain complete and accurate information on prospective and existing clients in contact management databaseRequirements

Requirements: The candidate should:

Have 3 years' sales and distribution experience, building materials or construction industry experience strongly preferredHold an associate's degree or have comparable work experienceHave a proven track record of B2B sales/account management and the ability to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and close high-level salesPossess strong persuasion and negotiation skills with the ability to use a consultative approach to close salesDemonstrate proficiency in cross-selling product lines and the ability to identify and develop new client and market opportunitiesHave a strong customer focus and be passionate about building long-term business relationshipsHave outstanding multi-tasking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to complete difficult assignments independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentPossess strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication, organizational, and follow-through skillsDemonstrate general mathematical computational ability and a strong attention to detailHave computer proficiency, preferably in Microsoft Office programs and CRM
