Overview of the Accounting Manager, Business Unit position
Accounting Manager, Business Unit opening due to internal movement within our client’s Accounting & Finance organization. Top compensation plus long-term incentives in a role that offers exposure to business leaders throughout the company. 5+ years of experience is required, in an accounting related role, internal audit or Big 4 public accounting. CPA or MBA preferred.
What will be expected of you as Manager, Consolidations
?
Responsibilities:
Support all accounting activities for the US domestic entities and for a high-profile divisional operation.
Serve as business partner in month end close
Gross-to-net reserves and revenue recognition accounting
Collaborate with other operational teams to investigate and resolve open accounting items.
Partner with the business to ensure completeness of financial close related activity.
Global interaction with multiple areas.
Leverage U.S. GAAP knowledge to handle any of the following situations: divestitures/acquisitions, restructurings, product launches, etc.
Manage a small team, including employee development and mentoring.
Lead special projects or teams as required.
What qualifies me for the Accounting Manager, Business Unit position?
BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience in public accounting
5+ years of demonstrated experience in an accounting related role.
CPA or MBA preferred.
Understanding of accounting principles.
Ability to read, comprehend and analyze external financial statements.
