We are currently seeking multiple experienced
Community and Social Participation Support Worker
for our participants in the Marion area. In this role you will provide support to enable individuals with disabilities to reach their goals, participate in the community and live fulfilling lives.In this role you will have varied responsibilities depending on the client, but key task and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assisting client with participation in the communityDiligent record keeping of progress notes and reportsFollowing positive behaviour support plans and care plansHelp clients reach their goals and support their choicesMaintain a safe environment for the client and workersAssist with attending and maintaining medical appointmentsProviding emotional supportAbout You
We are looking for someone that is:Experience with complex mental health participantsPatient and understandingHas an outgoing, social personalityReliable and punctualVaried interests and skills in activities. E.g. fishing, bowling, gardening, art, sports.Knowledge of local area and eventsAble to build rapport with clientsAble to use apps and basic technologyFlexible availability across 7 daysEssential Criteria and Clearances
Certificate III or IV in Mental Health or Disability SupportAccess to a reliable registered vehicle with comprehensive insuranceCurrent First Aid and CPR CertificateCurrent NDIS Worker Screening ClearanceCurrent Working with Children CheckCOVID-19 Vaccinations up to dateWe offer
