We are looking for a

Fire Alarm Service & Install Technician

to join our team!Hourly pay range: $38-49/hour depending on license, certifications and applicable skills and experience.Work shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PMAs a Fire Alarm Service & Install Technician, you will be responsible for installing, programming, and repairing fire alarm panel systems to ensure systems and equipment continue to work according to the functional specification.In this role you will:Perform fire alarm commissioning to ensure that systems and equipment continue to work according to functional specificationPerform on-site routine and emergency troubleshooting, programming, and repairs, in addition to the installation, inspection, testing, and servicing of low voltage life safety product lines and fire alarm systemsMaintain a good positive relationship with the customer and pass on information to the appropriate personnel for follow-up, quotes, questions, or concernsIdentify code and non-conformance issues and correct them according to code standardsWrite and maintain detailed work reports and service ticketsRead and interpret various blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and product manuals to properly program and verify systemsProvide customer instruction as it relates to proper device use, preventative care, and consistent maintenance to prevent future system malfunctionsEvaluate the customer site for additional equipment and services that the customer may requireDiscuss deficiencies noted with a customer, explaining the problem and its resolutionRequirements:High School diploma or equivalent2 years’ experience as a Fire Alarm Service Technician (preferred)2 years’ experience as a journeyman low voltage electrician (preferred)NICET II Fire Alarm Systems or higher certificationLEA (Limited Energy Technician Class A) Electrical LicenseWorking knowledge of NFPA Standards (including 70 and 72) Servicing Guidelines and local AHJ requirements (preferred)Valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving recordWorking Conditions:Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditionsOccasional exposure to working in high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration.Able to constantly lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassistedThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work of this job and not an exhaustive list of all the responsibilities, duties and skills required.
