By joining our team, you will contribute to producing and delivering every form of salt that enhances everyday life.Job SummaryThe Senior Sales Planning Analyst will support U.S. sales and broker execution to achieve plan targets and objectives. In this role, the Senior Analyst will work closely with Marketing to understand annual objectives and then partner with Sales to activate strategies at the customer level. The goal of a Senior Sales Planning analyst is to transform information into insights and inform key stakeholders throughout each stage of business planning. From strategy to execution, this role will help drive fact-based decision-making throughout the organization. This role will create selling stories and materials for annual sell-ins, new product launches.Duties and ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sales PlanningInitiate the annual planning process working closely with each sales director, direct account manager and support broker partners.This role will lead in development and delivery of metrics, analysis and recommendations to support strategic decisions related to sales, products, pricing, and monthly volume forecastsPromote and support company policies, procedures, mission, strategic pillars, and standards of ethics and integrityActivate Marketing objectives by creating a tactical execution plan and special projects (MAPS, Allocation, etc)Partner with Sales and Marketing to understand each unique customer segment, uncover insights from multiple data sources, and translate this into selling tactics that support the annual planBusiness AnalysisDevelop and maintain standardized reports to track performance against KPI’s, scorecards, budgets, and forecastsEvaluate business trends and communicate actionable recommendations for improvementCustomer InfluenceSupport the selling process from content creation to customer call; work as the project lead to facilitate and complete customer deliverablesPresent data and insights directly to customers during Sales calls and support the Sales team with follow-ups as neededDevelop and maintain a standardized selling template updated with annual objectives, key insights, and trend analysisKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMinimum 2-3 years of business intelligence, category insights, or business development experienceDemonstrates a “bias for action” and a desire to winImpacts and influences others to support important initiatives, gain alignment on goals, and act in the best interest of the companyDemonstrates a deep understanding of the industry, customers, and productsContinuously evaluates what is important to the customer and develops solutions that align with annual business objectivesAnticipates business opportunities and challenges; drives long-term strategy while maintaining a focus on short-term objectivesMakes timely and well-informed decisions that advance critical priorities, capitalize on new opportunities, and resolve problemsWorks collaboratively and effectively with key stakeholders throughout the organizationExceptional oral and written communication skillsOutstanding organization, communication, presentation, collaboration, relationship building and management skillsDemonstrated strong analytical experience - Expert in MS Excel, PowerPoint and TableauStrong SAP BI/BW skills and experience with other data query systems/IRI or NielsenAt Morton Salt, we work best when we work as a team, when we treat one another with dignity and respect, and value the unique contributions of others.
