Provide technical expertise to the Product Analysis Laboratory. Analyze failures, develop and implement investigative protocols to identify root causes, perform circuit analysis, and conduct device and component-level failure analysis.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESPerform failure analysis on explanted long-term biomedical implant products.Apply theoretical principles, evaluation, ingenuity, and creative/analytical techniques to identify root cause failure mechanisms.Meet deadlines on multiple assignments and operate in a diverse cross-functional team environment.Proactively find quality improvements related to Failure Analysis.Serve as lead and assign work to less experienced personnel, mentoring them in solving complex problems.Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Product Surveillance.Aide in the definition of test equipment as required to accomplish quality responsibilities.Support all Company initiatives as identified by management in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.QUALIFICATIONSEducationEducation Level:

Bachelors Degree (± 16 years)Major/Field of Study:

Electrical Engineering preferred, or Engineering, Science, or closely related discipline.OrEducation Level:

an equivalent combination of education and work experience.Experience/BackgroundComprehensive written and verbal communication, interpersonal, facilitation, presentation, quantitative, analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills, with the ability to meet deadlines on multiple projects and converse effectively with all levels of employees.A documented record of delivering reliability engineering information that adds value to management’s decision-making process.Personal computer skills including spreadsheet, word processing, database management, and specialized applications.Ability to handle multiple assignments.The base pay for this position is $48,000.00 – $96,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
