Act as Electrical/Avionic Design Engineer – designing cabin related and avionics systems. Support her/his superiors in developing below listed systems' design:
Environmental control (air-conditioning, heating, humidification)
In-flight entertainment, cabin management
Communication and computer networks (Telephony, GSM, LAN/WLAN)
Satellite communication, High-speed Data, Satellite TV
Power generation, supply and distribution
Galleys, seats, interior doors, window shades
Smoke detection and passenger oxygen
Water System
Cabin Basic Lighting System
Emergency Lighting System
Work independently on system designs.
Modify & Commission and test of electrical/avionic systems on Transport Category Aircraft for cabin completion and modification projects.
Key Aspects of the Activity
Preparation of System-Specification and Service-Definitions
Support to project preparation (i.e. Request for Quotation, Order Description, Material Orders)
Preparation of Layout Drawings, Block Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, Item Lists, Wire Lists, Drawings Lists and handling of related ECO and PCR
Preparation of Installation Instruction and Documentation (i.e. EO, SB)
Preparation of Ground-, Flight Checks and Test Procedures
Preparation of Compliance Documentation, Reports & Analysis regarding Equipment Qualification, Wire-Routing and Installation, Safety and Hazard Assessments
Administration of Vendor Information and Manuals
Liaison and cooperation with Avionic & Electrical Services Department
Liaison and cooperation with Office of Airworthiness, Mechanical Production Engineering and Mechanical Design Engineering
Liaison and cooperation with Vendors and Supplier of parts, components and avionic/electrical systems and Test-Facilities
Selection of equipment, components, materials
Development of electrical wiring diagrams (Visio)
Preparation of ground-and flight-test procedures
Develop technical and safety and certification documentation (reports, analysis, assessments)
Develop engineering standards
Required Skills and Qualifications
Applicable Electronic/Electrical Engineering degree or similar qualification required
Aviation Experience & Design Engineering experience would be advantageous
Minimum 3 years’ experience
MS Office (Visio, Word, Excel, Power Point) and CAD literacy
Good communication skills in English, German, and/or French advantageous
Good at time management
Pro-active team player with an object oriented functioning
Dedicated to quality, reliability, and safety
