We are currently seeking a dynamic Principal Engineer in Power Electronics, with a strong background in developing solar and energy storage products, to join the Schneider Electric Solar + Storage team.

In this role the successful candidate will own the design and development of solar and storage power converters, conducting trade-off studies among various power conversion architectures, leading product prototyping and test, and assist with product industrialization.

We are looking for a positive, confident, self-motivated, passionate individual with a strong desire to work in an exciting, fast-paced, team based collaborative design environment to help us develop next generation technologies to empower and connect our products to each other, and to our customers.

Scope and ResponsibilitiesOwn the end-end development including power stages, magnetics, controls, EMI/EMC design, and controls.Conduct modeling and simulation of power converters to speed up design cycles.Be on the forefront of technology including identification and adoption of latest power semiconductor and control trends.Lead rapid product turn-around from concept through prototyping.Anticipate challenges ahead of time and thrive in a fast-paced development environment.Minimum Requirements

Master's degree with 8+ years' experience or PhD (preferred) with 6+ years' experience in power electronics and control.Demonstrated experience in hardware development of complex power converters (multi-level inverters, resonant dc-dc converters), preferably in the solar/storage space.Strong proficiency in advanced magnetics design and thermal management.Experience with high power density designs, packaging, and embedded circuits.Must have DFM, DFR, and DFMEA experience.Strong background in control FW design and implementation.Versatility with various modeling and simulation tools - MATLAB, Python, PLECS, etc.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Working Conditions/Environment/Special Requirements

Availability for 10% domestic and international travel.
