Apple's Battery Data Systems is building and maintaining a number of applications to support the testing of batteries and data collection of battery related information. Since all of our products have a battery, your work here will impact all products, and can directly enable technology enhancements in this field.DescriptionAs a full stack web developer on this team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and supporting these various applications and the integration between them. This position requires someone comfortable with all aspects of the software development lifecycle, who thrives in a dynamic cross-functional organization, is not afraid to debate ideas openly, and is flexible enough to pivot on constantly evolving requirements.Responsibilities:Design, develop, test and maintain new and existing web applications.Work cross-functionally with project managers and internal/external customers to implement and deliver solid software solutions.Improve current systems by passionately pursuing new technologies and diligently pushing boundaries.Minimum Qualifications:BS and relevant industry experience.Experience with Git is a must.Preferred Qualifications:At least 5 years of full stack web development experience, in scalable, distributed environments with significant user bases.Experience with ETL (data collection).Strong, proven understanding of distributed systems integration, including design principles as well as hands-on experience with various integration methods (web services, publish/subscribe, etc.).Has a strong desire to develop for data integrity, scalability, high availability and easy maintainability.Able to clearly explain technical issues, justify technical decisions, and write technical specification documents.Solid understanding of HTTP and REST API.Solid understanding of Operating Systems (Unix-like).Proven skills and programming proficiency in JavaScript (Node.js, React, EcmaScript 6), PHP, Python, HTML/CSS.Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
