is seeking a

Data/Program Analyst

with experience in disaster human services preparedness, response, and recovery to support HSS' Office of Human Services Emergency Preparedness and Response's Administration of Children and Families (ACF) in

Washington, DC.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Maintain a variety of data products, chronological data status, and accounting logs.Review operations and testing of models to ensure adequacy or to determine need for reformulating to support collection, manipulation, analysis, and other use of data.Conduct facilitation sessions to gather requirements and build logical models.Review and report on project metrics to benchmark effectiveness.Review project models to ensure adherence to standards and ensure data quality alignment.Work on, and across, multiple projects to ensure consistency in naming conventions and promote the sharing and reuse of data across applications and program areas.Contribute to data management.Apply analytic techniques in the evaluation of project objectives and contribute to the implementation of strategic direction.Support assessments of OHSEPR's challenges using specialized skills and knowledge.Resolve complex problems, which require an in-depth knowledge of analytic methodologies and principles.Assist in coordinating assigned repatriation activities, as well as planning processes, to inform upper management on key issues, and provide information that impacts the office's processes and decision-making.Identify issues, gather and analyze information, and develop advice and guidance to resolve substantive problems affecting effectiveness and efficiency of operations.

Basic Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.A minimum of 3 years of professional Data/Program Analyst experience.Firm understanding of industry best practices and the repatriation program.Proficiency in extracting data from relational databases using various query software tools, graphic displays for data presentation, database tools, and spreadsheet software.Ability to produce finished reports containing analyses, graphics, and recommendations.Experience using computers, including email, Word, and Excel.Excellent data analysis skills.Strong spreadsheet and presentation skills.Strong analytical and organizational skills.Ability to calculate statistics like mathematical averages and percentages.Ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
