There’s always projects on hand seeking volunteers, you can always seek out challenges that’ll help shape you!ABOUT THE ROLE:The Media Planner/Sr. Media Planner constructs the strategic foundation for both traditional and digital media plan development and makes sure all tactics are grounded in these guiding strategic principles in the multicultural Asian American market. You’ll work closely with clients and all internal/external partners, coordinating parties to ensure streamlined communication is achieved and tactical plans are delivered and executed in a timely and accurate manner. You have the experience in putting together media plans, then gathering and interpreting the data. And now, you are looking to challenge yourself in being a STORYTELLER. You want to impress our clients by applying your analytical mind in a creative and insightful manner.REPORTING TO:This role will report to the Media Manager/Associate Media Director and will be responsible to maintain and steward media plans while managing media coordinator(s).Media Planning/Execution● A deep understanding in paid media, earned media and owned media and capable of making strategic media recommendations with data, analytics and insights with various data sources for communication/marketing plan.Development and presentation of sound, strategic cross-channel media plans based on client marketing direction, knowledge on the media landscape and the use of media research. Plans typically include analysis and recommendations on audience targeting, support level, and budget.● Assist traditional media, digital and programmatic media planning for national media campaigns targeting Asian American audiences.● Maintain budget control and ensure execution of media plans by authorizing approved media schedules and monitoring buys/schedules.Attend and/or contribute and present plans to the client group, with assistance where necessary of the leadership team while maintaining strong relationships with clients and partner agencies at appropriate level.● Transform data into actionable insights through strong storytelling by connecting the dots across channels to provide a holistic view of marketing/advertising efforts.● Maintain all activity, including requesting and presenting added value and regular status reports (i.e. positioning and post reports on media and added value when applicable) in a timely manner.● Engaged in optimization of digital campaigns using Campaign Manager 360, Search Ad 360, and client dashboards while being responsible for traditional media deployment and execution to ensure the budget accuracy.QUALIFICATIONS:● A four year college degree or equivalent in Field● 2+ years media planning experience in traditional (Print,TV and Radio), digital or programmatic media (DV360) as a junior or mid-level planner in a media or advertising agency● Strong analytical skills, problem-solving, negotiation skills, mathematical abilities with accuracy and attention to detail required● Demonstrated strong oral/written communication in presentation and writing skills - ability to think on your feet● Strong work ethic – highly organized and diligent● A confident self-starter who is solutions oriented and thrive in fast paced environment● Ability to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration; but also capable of working independently when needed● Experience in working with entertainment and automobile clients is highly desirable● Full service agency experience preferred, but not required● Preferred technical proficiency, particularly with media systems (DV360, GWI, MRI, Nielsen (NMI), Prisma)● Bilingual abilities are a plus in any Asian languages● MS Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Google SlidesCharacteristics
