The Controller will be responsible for leading the financial governance over all site operations. A key member of the Finance Operations leadership team, the Controller will work across Accounting, Finance, Internal Controls, and Operations to ensure and drive site financial performance, compliance with internal controls, complete and accurate financial reporting, and operational excellence. The Controller will be an active team member of the Site leadership and operations team.This established role will also be responsible for being a thought partner with Finance and Operations leadership to develop and establish the future financial governance and business partnership model with HIS’s Global Operations teams.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Safety

Champion a culture and environment where workplace safety is of highest priority.Internal Controls

Primary Finance partner with Corporate Controlling and Internal Audit to ensure that internal controls are properly designed, deployed, and operating effectively at the site.Monitor the continued execution of internal controls at the Site on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.Proactively monitor the internal control environment at the Site to identify potential risks and address proactively with management.Reporting & Analysis

Partner with Corporate FP&A and Site GM to lead the planning and budgeting process for all Site operations.Establish and monitor Site level financial and operational KPIs. Develop and communicate insights that help Site leadership drive financial performance and operational excellence.Partner with site leadership to perform ad hoc analysis that supports financial and operational problem solving.Inventory Management & Control

Partner with Materials, Supply Chain, and Finance Operations team to develop and maintain a Site-specific Integrated Inventory Management operating model that optimizes working capital efficiency and supports on-time customer deliveries.Partner with Warehouse team to ensure proper physical and transactional controls are in place to ensure appropriate levels of inventory accuracy are maintained.Plant Profitability

Work with Site leadership to understand key P&L drivers to proactively manage monthly and quarterly P&L goals.Collaborate with Site GM, Commercial team, and Corporate FP&A to optimize Plant operations and supply chain performance.Cross Functional Leadership & Collaboration

Champion the HIS culture across functions and teams.Partner with Global Supply Chain, Account Operations, and Plant Operations to implement and operate cross functional initiatives.Work across multiple global sites to identify and implement best practices.Other Duties

High degree of business acumen, leadership, and communication competencies.Ability to lead and influence across functions and leadership levels.Proficiency in designing, implementing, and operating an effective internal control environment within a manufacturing business.Experience implementing operational and financial KPIs in a manufacturing and supply chain environment.Excellent understanding of GAAP in a manufacturing environment.Experience in costing principles and ability to drive financial efficiencies in operations and supply chain.Strong understanding of transacting in ERP with a preference for SAP experience.Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.CPA preferred.Experience Requirements:

Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in accounting and finance within a manufacturing environment. Previous responsibilities leading and executing finance, accounting, and financial reporting accountabilities in a manufacturing environment. Experience with SAP ERP preferred. People management experience preferred but not required.Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
