Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Contract Administrator 2 or 3 to join its team of qualified and diverse individuals supporting the Space Security Contracts team. This is a unique opportunity to build experience, mentoring relationships, and career growth by contributing to the Contracts role. This position can be located in our Chantilly, VA or Dulles, VA office.

A Contract Administrator produces high quality Contract Management related products supporting the NGSP Tactical Space Systems Division (TSSD) Space Domain Awareness (SDA) programs. This position requires a basic understanding of DOD contracting, excellent communication skills, strong technology acumen in M365, as well as interpersonal and organizational skills. The ideal candidate is a team player; but also, a strong independent contributor with strong leadership skills, demonstrated problem-solving skills, and a detail-oriented approach.

The Contract Administrator is required to deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines; and handle multiple tasks. A Contract Administrator must possess the ability to work well with others in high-volume situations, effectively interface with internal functional and program organizations; and meet the goals/objectives of the TSSD.

Roles and responsibilities of the Contract Administrator will include the following:

Support proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

Maintain and update contract documents, official program records, and correspondence.

Support the development of metrics, reports, and responses to data calls.

Research contract issues and prepare analysis with citations.

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3.

Basic Qualifications for Contract Administrator (Level 2):

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with 3+ years of Contracts, Subcontracts, or Procurement Administration, or directly related experience, or Master’s Degree with 1+ years of relevant Contracts, Subcontracts, or Procurement Administration, or directly related experience.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Contract Administrator (Level 3):

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with 6+ years of Contracts, Subcontracts, or Procurement Administration, or directly related experience, or Master’s Degree with 4+ years of relevant Contracts, Subcontracts, or Procurement Administration, or directly related experience.

Additional Basic Qualifications for Both Levels:

Strong technical acumen in M365

Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and effectively bring projects to completion.

Active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications:

An In-depth knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and UCC as well as experience with different contract types

Experience supporting ECPs and REAs

Extensive Proposal Support is a plus.

NCMA Certification (CPCM, CFCM and/or CCCM)

Salary Range:

$72,100 - $108,100

Salary Range 2:

$88,700 - $133,100

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
