We are Invenergy.Job DescriptionPosition OverviewAs a Manager, Renewable Development, you will manage the development of utility-scale solar and wind energy projects throughout the United States. This position will be in our Chicago headquarters.ResponsibilitiesManage wind and/or solar projects within the United StatesLead development activities in early, mid, and/or late stages of the projectAlign projects with long-term company strategy and initiativesIdentify development prospects, including market assessments, fatal flaw identification and initial site reconnaissanceSecure site control for development prospects, including negotiating leases, easements and other agreements with landownersCoordinate landowner communication effortsTake a lead role in obtaining certain local, state and/or federal permitsRepresent Invenergy LLC with customers, landowners, state and local officials and other stakeholdersInitiate and manage generation interconnection activitiesOversee project designAssist project budgeting and schedulingManage tasks according to budgets and schedules, including coordinating internal and external technical supportRequired SkillsBachelors degree4+ years of work experience in the renewable and/or clean energy industry or relevant experienceValid Drivers LicenseTravel as needed, anticipated 25% of the timeEligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the futurePreferred SkillsBachelor’s in Business or Engineer, Master’s Degree or MBA is a plusAbility to manage the development and strategic process for wind and/or solar energy projectsStrong organizational, networking, leadership, time management, and accounting skillsStrong public speaking and personal skillsAbility to write effective, concise reportsFamiliarity with solar project development, real estate development, transmission and power project engineering are advantageousRelevant work experience in environment, permitting, land or development preferredBenefitsEligible for medical, dental, vision, 401(k), bonus, paid time off, etc.Invenergy LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
