Northrop Grumman is seeking experienced and motivated professionals for the role of a

Staff Supply Chain Subcontracts Specialist

with experience in supply chain management or related fields, including business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, or manufacturing. The successful applicant will become a part of Northrop Grumman’s Combat Sensors Sensor Business Unit within the Mission Systems Sector and Airborne Multi-Function Sensors Division. This position may be staffed as a hybrid role from Baltimore, MD, requiring an onsite presence 1-2 times a week.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Mentorship and training to junior team members with procurement processes, including compliance.

Support and lead special projects that require advanced knowledge and experience of Supply Chain procurement processes.

Manage and host information sharing sessions.

Participate in proposal efforts including complex source selection, strategic supplier management, and negotiations.

Coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program, and end-users.

Identify strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations.

Basic Qualifications:

A current/active DoD Secret Clearance (US citizenship required).

Develop subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services.

Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of work experience in supply chain, contracts, or business management; or related experience OR Master’s degree and 13+ years of supply chain, contracts, business management or related experience.

Prepare bid packages, conduct bidders conferences, analyze and evaluate proposals, negotiate subcontract provisions, select or recommend subcontractors, write awards, and administer resulting subcontracts.

Advanced knowledge of Supply Chain procurement and subcontracts principles and practices.

Expertise in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Strong communication skills (verbal and written), time management skills, and information management skills.

Strong problem-solving skills leading to innovative solutions.

Detail oriented, strategic thinking, and analytical.

Demonstrated interpersonal and people leadership skills; ability to leverage professional relationships.

Proven multitasking ability; resilience when faced with multiple deadlines and competing priorities.

Leading project teams developing strategic solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Past experience performing successfully in a buying, supply chain planning, or supply chain program management role.

Knowledge of U.S. government and industry supply chain practices.

Working knowledge of SAP or 1ERP.

Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS.

Familiarity with terms and conditions, and/or special contract clauses/types such as long-term agreements and intellectual property agreements.

Salary Range:

$130,100 - $195,100

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
