AMD is looking for a specialized Software Development Data Engineer who is passionate about improving the performance of key applications and benchmarks. You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the very latest hardware and software technology.THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering and possess leadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, construct, and maintain scalable data management systems.Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and data scientists on data-related technical issues and infrastructure needs.Develop algorithms, predictive models, and data processing prototypes.Implement data set processes for data modeling, mining, and production.Identify and integrate new data tools and technologies for AI and ML model training pipelines.Automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, and redesign infrastructure for scalability.Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.Develop and maintain data warehouse and data lake architecture.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala.Experience with big data tools (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).Knowledge of relational SQL and NoSQL databases (Postgres, Cassandra).Familiarity with data pipeline and workflow management tools (Azkaban, Luigi, Talend, Airflow).Experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Understanding of machine learning algorithms and AI principles.Experience with stream-processing systems (Storm, Spark-Streaming).Knowledge of DevOps, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).Data visualization tools and techniques.Basic project management skills.ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Undergrad degree required. Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent preferred.
