Job Responsibilities:

Hands-on manager able to effect change within a multi-site manufacturing environment.Analyze and review supplier performance.Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors.Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods.Develop strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.Develop and ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.Analyze market trends to identify potential new suppliers.Track and report key functional metrics for site Purchasing activities.Identify and develop risk management strategies for the supply chain.Establish strong supplier relationships, effectively manage category supply base, perform advanced negotiations, and oversee selection of key suppliers.Actively monitor vendor and internal performance against contracts, industry benchmarks, and previous baselines. Develop and submit reports to Executive management.Identify and evaluate market changes – make appropriate fact-based recommendations.Oversee roll-out of new vendor contracts and processes.Ability to interface with multiple levels of an organization internally and externally.Ability to work in a cross-functional team.Ensure delivery of materials at expected costs and quality levels, including purchase orders and long-term agreements.Ensure compliance with ISO and QS requirements.QUALIFICATIONS:BS in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.Three (3) or more years of Purchasing Manager level experience in a manufacturing environment.Demonstrated talent in negotiation and supplier management.Excellent spreadsheet skills – able to effectively organize data to leverage analysis tools including pivot tables, graphs, charts, etc.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills including a high level of self-motivation and independent work.Excellent communication and interaction skills – able to create clear, concise written and oral communications, to read/create documents in English, and to interface positively with others (team members, other departments, vendors).Good analytical skills and aptitude in decision making.Demonstrated experience in successfully negotiating multi-disciplinary contracts, strategic category management, and Company programs/initiatives.Member of the Supply Chain organization(s) is a plus.IATF experience.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business correspondences, Safety Notices, Control Plans, Quality Alerts, and Packaging instructions. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
