The Design Manager is responsible for leading the creation and production of a wide range of prominent marketing collateral, advertising, and branding materials, including product sales sheets, point-of-sale assets, vehicle wraps, and packaging. The Design Manager will also ensure consistent quality, accurately reflecting not just the Monster image and brand, but also the various brands within the Monster Energy portfolio.
Furthermore, the Design Manager is expected to interact professionally with both in-house teams and external vendors. The individual must be capable of communicating the design process and elements in a clear, concise, and objective manner. They should possess initiative, be capable of overseeing several ongoing projects at once, effectively manage their own timeline, and assign production duties to artists or junior designers as required.
The Design Manager requires excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, innovative thinking, and outstanding communication abilities. They must have a deep understanding of the creative process to effectively manage the execution of multiple small and large-scale projects concurrently.
Essential Job Functions: • The Design Lead is responsible for guiding the visual direction of projects, managing the art development process, and supervising a team of skilled designers. • Ensure adherence to graphic standards and work to enhance productivity within the production team. • Provide clear direction and guidance on project requirements and deadlines to all team members. • Speedily execute any urgent projects or rush jobs as necessary. • Lead the creation and production of innovative, brand-aligned packaging print, and point-of-sale solutions for our portfolio of Monster Energy brands. • Engage cooperatively with art directors and team members from sales and marketing to conceptualize and execute creative that fulfills business needs. • Oversee all allocated projects, distributing production tasks as needed to optimize work efficiency and output. • Help to identify inconsistencies and opportunities for improvement within the creative process. Position Requirements:
• At least 7-10 years of professional experience is required in a design leadership or management role, preferably within large consumer and/or lifestyle brands. • Outstanding people skills, experience managing teams, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. • A keen eye for detail and commitment to quality. • A highly motivated, self-managed individual with demonstrated ability to multitask effectively. • Versed in organizing a multitude of projects and tasks, adhering to strict deadlines and prioritizing minute details. • Proven capacity to manage and multitask efficiently under stress, maintaining a balance between pace and quality of work. • Proficient in guiding a design team with motivation and influence. • Exceptional portfolio showcasing a strategic mindset in various design projects, including logos and illustration. • Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign). • A solid understanding of print production processes. • Bachelor’s degree in design or related studies, or equivalent technical trade degree or experience in design. Leadership Characteristics: • Organizationally savvy and can-do attitude. • Proactive and organized liaison between creative and cross-functional teams, facilitate workflow of creative design projects. Education: • College degree and/or relevant creative project management experience.
Pay Range USD 93,870.00 to USD 134,100.00
