UX Designer Consultant-User Experience Design (UXD)

This position is for a growing practice supporting large manufacturing clients in US. The position requires experience in User Research, UX design and visual design areas. This role is based on US with support from off-shore peers
Responsibilities:• Research and Design of applications, both greenfield and legacy.• Should be able to adapt to client practices (waterfall, agile, lean, product) and yet encourage practice shifts to improve the user experience.• Able to work both collaboratively within a team, and as a solo consultant (with support).• Communicate recommendations articulately, and guide that approach through the design and development life cycle.• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards. Act as an advocate for the end user and express importance of design to stakeholders and team members.• Contribute and participate in thought leadership engagements, RFPs and proposals with the Team Lead alongside assigned engagements.
Qualifications:MUST have -• 4-7 years (combined) in UX Research, UX Design, Visual Design• UX Design should include strategy->interactive design->visual design• Experience with design output and responsive (RWD)• Presentation skills and experience working directly with clientNICE to have -• Prototyping experience (low fidelity, high fidelity)• Experience in planning UX engagements in a lead capacity• Mobile experience• Design thinking methodologies• Usability/user testing experience
