Position Responsibilities

The Senior Analyst role aims to enhance the efficiency, scalability and standardization of processes within the Private Fund Accounting ("FA") and Business Development Company Fund Accounting ("BDC FA") Departments, develop a customer-focused finance team and promote operational excellence. This role will join the Project and Process (P&P) Team, a high-performing sub-team within the FA Department responsible for the management of key process improvements and systems. In addition to supporting internal and external constituencies for all subsystems, this position will mainly involve system maintenance, testing and development of various processes associated with Workday, all while adhering to strict deadlines. The team prioritizes exceptional attention to data, processes and detail which is crucial for all expansion and process improvement initiatives. The Senior Analyst will be integral to these efforts and will gain exposure to the core processes and deliverables of a dynamic team supporting a rapidly growing business.

Primary duties and responsibilities include:
  • Managing and maintaining financial data within Workday including chart of account consistency, system configurations, process flows and data integrity
  • Staying current with system updates and enhancements to optimize performance
  • Collaborating with Technology Solutions, Workday vendors and the FA and BDC FA Teams to plan, test, implement and communicate Workday updates
  • Designing and creating custom Workday reports to meet stakeholder needs including Advanced, Composite, Worksheet and OfficeConnect for Financials reports
  • Monitoring performance and managing integrations that transfer data between Workday and multiple subsystems (e.g., Wall Street Office, Datawarehouse, client systems)
  • Reporting and troubleshooting system issues promptly, working closely with Technology Solutions and system vendors
  • Conducting intensive research utilizing Workday tools such as Workday Community and Helpdesk to develop timely and robust solutions
  • Analyzing large amounts of data to produce financial reporting deliverables and analyses
  • Maintaining open lines of communication with project team members and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and any deviations from the plan
  • Training new users as part of the Workday onboarding process
  • Assisting in various ad-hoc requests within the P&P Team


Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject (accounting or finance and systems proficiency preferred)
  • At least 5 years of financial information systems management or Workday implementation experience highly desired
  • Strong knowledge of Workday Financials including Financial Management, Analytics and Reporting, Integrations and Security
  • Ability to navigate and understand interdependencies of multiple systems and subsystems
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of balance sheet and income statement financials as well as entity consolidations required
  • Proven ability to analyze complex problems, form accurate conclusions and recommend solutions
  • Ability to take initiative, work proactively and work independently while taking on new challenges
  • Advanced skill level in Excel required
  • Strong skills and instincts in accounting, financial and system analysis
