Overview

Hybrid Remote Opportunity - Candidates MUST BE local to Northern Virginia for this role which combines remote work and an on-site presence at our Herndon headquarters twice a week. Additionally, in-person attendance will be required for regional, sales, and ad-hoc meetings as needed.The Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis leads the Company's processes for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning as well as reporting of financial information to internal stakeholders. This position requires a self-starter with supervisory, review and FP&A tool experience in addition to high levels of motivation. Integrity is an absolute requirement.Responsibilities

The essential functions of this position include:Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-term financial planning of the organization on a consolidated business as well as lines of business and by region.Architect and provide financial commentaries and documents to support key financial deliverables, including the monthly financial forecast & update and quarterly financial results and analysis for executive management and the Board of Directors.Architect models and analyze acquisition targets and develops reporting to monitor performance once acquired.Develop new processes or improve existing processes relating to financial planning, budgeting & reporting.Develop metrics to track team-specific, regional, and company-wide trends, identify efficiency opportunities, provide recommendations, and collaborate across all levels.Apply an analytical approach to influence strategic decision-making, with a focus on capital allocation decisions and long-term financial planning.Recommend improvements to procedures, field operations and ensure change directives are implemented to achieve optimal financial reporting.Understand how to operate in and improve upon the Company's financial systems.Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting.Manage, hire, and retain competent staff. Provide supervision and feedback to team members on a regular basis.Support ad hoc projects, system improvements and/or company-wide initiatives, as assigned.As a manager, you are also expected to:Lead and guide team members, fostering growth through mentoring, coaching, and development, while ensuring effective communication and collaboration.Promote an environment of inclusivity and respect, valuing diverse perspectives and encouraging open dialogue among all team members.Collaborate on strategic initiatives, leveraging your expertise to drive innovation and positive change within the organization.Cultivate a proactive approach to conflict resolution, striving for amicable solutions and escalating concerns as needed.Qualifications

BS/BA in Accounting, or Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.10+ years of financial analysis and planning experience required, preferably in a large corporation.5+ years management experience required.CPA preferred.Ability to review and analyze balance sheets and income statements, statement of cashflows, and transactional reconciliations.Strong technical abilities in various data centric tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, and other forecasting or data analysis tools such as Anaplan.Advanced data and modeling techniques, and strategic analysis skills.In-depth knowledge of transactional accounting and associated key controls.Strong knowledge of business operations.Knowledge of revenue recognition guidance and SEC reporting requirements.Ability to work with all levels of staff and management.Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.Must possess excellent leadership skills.Must be a self-starter, goal oriented and a strong team motivator.Ability to handle multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment.Ability to diplomatically solve problems efficiently and effectively.Strong business acumen and understanding of the broader business context.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.Ability to travel up to 20%.Position Specifics

The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $190,000 and $240,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.Physical Requirements
