POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary function of the Director of Respiratory is to plan, organize, develop and direct the day-to-day functions of the Respiratory Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the facility. The Director of Respiratory will work alongside the DON, ADON, Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained for each resident at all times. You will cover both Bath Manor Special Care Center and Tallmadge Health & Rehab Center.

Education & Qualifications:

Must be able to travel to and work at Bath Manor Special Care Center and Tallmadge Health & Rehab Center.

Must possess and keep a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of employment.

Must be knowledgeable of respiratory and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to respiratory in nursing care facilities.

Must be able to communicate in English and have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Must possess and demonstrate the ability to carry out both verbal and written directions.

Must possess and demonstrate good interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work with supervisors, co-workers and community leadership in the performance of duties.

Ability to observe proper safety and sanitary techniques.

Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position/assignment.

Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.

Experience:

Preferred, as a minimum, two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role in a hospital, nursing care facility or other related health care facility.

Full-Time Opportunity Available
