to support your ongoing education and professional development.Referral Bonuses, so refer your friends!Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans.Opportunities for career advancement within a world-class healthcare institution.Competitive Shift DifferentialsDual Imaging Technologist career advancement opportunitiesA supportive and collaborative work environment.Overtime incentives!Essential Job Functions:Reviews physician's order to assure appropriateness of examination being requested.Selects appropriate exposure factors based on body part, pathology, patient's age and technical equipment characteristics.Reviews images for proper positioning, technique and identification.Performs a variety of general diagnostic studies with efficiency and high standards of quality, assures that the proper protocol is used for any given examination and evaluates images for diagnostic quality prior to submitting for interpretation.Prepares contrast media for administration to patients and assists physician in the performance of GI/GU studies.Interfaces with customers, patients and their family members, medical staff and visitors in a friendly, professional manner. Demonstrates consistent use of the AIDET principles and demonstrates flexibility in accommodating special needs of customers whenever possible.Required Qualifications:Associates degree in a related medical field of study or equivalent experienceSatisfactory completion of formal Radiologic technology training in an AMA approved programCertified by The American Registry of Radiological TechnologistsLicensed by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)Demonstrates proficiency in performing diagnostic imagingFunctions proficiently with all technical equipment in diagnostic modalityDemonstrates excellent customer service and interpersonal skillsGood decision-making and judgment skillsMaintain required continuing education as mandated by The American Registry of Radiological TechnologistsConsiderable knowledge of standard office practices and procedures along with knowledge of computers and software programs specific to the UCMC and the radiology departmentCPR certificationPosition Details:Job Type:
