Overview:Our client, a dynamic company in thedefense and space manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to join their team on a contract basis. This role is designed to provide financial leadership. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual with a solid background in corporate accounting and government contracting.
Responsibilities :Financial Oversight : Manage daily accounting operations, including reviewing bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flow.Month-End Close : Ensure timely completion of month-end close processes and accurate financial reporting to the CFO.Regulatory Compliance : Maintain familiarity with government contract regulations (FAR and DFARS) and ensure compliance.Team Interaction : Lead daily meetings and collaborate with the accounting team to address ongoing tasks and issues.Process Improvement : Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and reporting.System Usage : Utilize Deltek Costpoint for accounting tasks and SAP Concur for expense reporting.Qualifications :Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Certification : Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.Experience :
Previous experience in a Corporate Controller or similar role.Experience with government contracting, particularly FAR and DFARS regulations.Background in the tech, construction, aerospace, or defense industries preferred.Department of Defense (DoD) experience is a plus.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:the individual's skill sets, experience and training;licensure and certification requirements;office location and other geographic considerations;other business and organizational needs.With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
