Blackstone Global Fund Finance Open-Ended Funds – Assistant Vice PresidentJob Description:Responsible for day to day fund accounting, administration, and reporting of an open-ended monthly priced retail fund.Work directly with internal and external teams including, but not limited to strike NAVs, validate corporate level activity, subscription and redemption activity, promote calculations, management fee calculations, NAV allocations, performance calculations, liquidity forecasting, and corporate G&A.Work with internal and external teams to provide relevant information for the preparation of the 10-Q, 10-K, and other recurring SEC filings and ensure new transactions are appropriately disclosed.Coordinate with internal and external auditors; coordinate SOX controls.Prepare/review financial information included in investor letters and internal reporting.Responsible for quarterly close of BX deliverables.Work with internal and external teams to monitor the liquidity of the entire fund structure including supporting treasury operations for investor subscriptions, redemptions and distributions; liaising with stakeholders to ensure sufficient cash is available when and where required; coordinate with the appointed service providers to monitor funds available for distribution to support the fund’s distribution policy.Assist with ad hoc analysis and projects.Managing and mentoring junior staff.Qualifications:BS (or above) in Accounting or Finance is required.CPA license is preferred.6+ years of public/private accounting experience.Experience with open-ended funds and/or private equity industry is preferred.Experience with SEC reporting and public companies is preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to thrive in a team-based environment.Highly organized and proactive.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Detail oriented and possess strong work ethic; ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of assignments; strong time management skills.Ideal candidates would have a commitment to excellence in their work product and a desire to learn and grow as a professional.The duties and responsibilities described here are not exhaustive and additional assignments, duties, or responsibilities may be required of this position. $125,000 - $185,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location.
