Job Description:

In this position, you will be performing Fault Isolation and Failure Analysis. The goal is to characterize and isolate failure from the tester/system signature down to a single failing node or transistor, employing a wide array of DFx (including Scan/ATPG) and test tools, complemented with your knowledge of computer architecture, logic, circuit/VLSI, process, and device physics.Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Performing fault isolation and failure analysis to determine the root cause of failures utilizing various tools and techniques such as ATE testing, DFx software tools, optical probing, logic/circuit simulation, and emulation, probing, and layout study.

Be involved in development work to ensure fault isolation capability and readiness to support the next generation of products.

Collaboration and remote analysis with cross-site teams are required.

Working directly with internal customers to help solve and determine the root cause of various complex issues.

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess a bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or related field.

Minimum 1 year of experience with failure analysis, debug (hardware debug) or relevant semiconductor area.

Programming experience, including Unix, Windows, Perl/TCL, Python, C and/or Visual Basic.

Intermediate English level.

Costa Rican unrestricted work permit.

Preferred Qualifications:Upper Intermediate to Advanced English level.

Knowledge of Design for Test features.

Knowledge of Semiconductor fabrication, assembly, and test.

Knowledge of logic and VLSI design with exposure to Verilog and VCS.

Experience with ATE Testers and/or optical probers is a major plus.
