Salary Range: $ 101,223 to $ 122,891 AnnuallyThe Captain is second in command of the enforcement department and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department. The Captain is responsible for all administrative related matters including but not limited to office records maintenance, general office management, equipment maintenance and inventory, budgetary matters, computerized information systems management and keeping the Chief of Police updated regarding patrol, administrative, and communications related matters.This position is an in-person role located in Hood River, Oregon.Responsibilities

Direct line supervisor over the Lieutenant, Administrative Specialist, Victims Advocate, IT Specialist, and the Dispatch Supervisor. Indirectly supervises patrol and dispatch personnel by acting in a counseling, teaching, and advocate capacity to maintain acceptable levels of work performance and employee morale.Responsible for compliance in all aspects of subordinate personnel hiring, evaluations, promotions, terminations, investigations of misconduct, grievances, and training, by maintaining a working knowledge of CRITFC Policies and Procedures and the Law Enforcement Operations Manual (OM).Acts as a second in command (in the absence of the Chief), by attending administrative meetings within CRITFC, the tribes, and other law enforcement agencies.Works with other agencies in matters of mutual concern and/or mutual aid situations related to the enforcement department by providing patrol assistance when available, attending enforcement meetings and maintaining contact with agency supervisors.Online applications are preferred, however if circumstances prevent an applicant from completing an online application or require help with an electronic application, email jobs@critfc.org
