RMC is hiring a Project Manager to support our customer at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Indian Head in Indian Head, MD. This position will directly support senior military and government personnel with a wide variety of management, budgeting, and financial analysis services. The selected applicant will be expected to keep multiple tasks on schedule, develop work quickly and accurately, and transform complex subject matter into simple terms. Responsibilities include:

The selected applicant will be expected to keep multiple tasks on schedule, develop work quickly and accurately, and transform complex subject matter into simple terms. Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with a team of project managers and coordinators overseeing construction, purchasing and logistics activities
- Developing and drafting program or project milestones; compiling, documents and analyzing metrics in support of major command level mission requirements and operations
- Ensuring accountability for the outcomes of high-complexity projects, including adherence to budget and schedule
- Supporting the definition of project scope and objectives by engaging relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Coordinating with internal and external resources to fulfill project requirements outlined in the scope
- Identifying and addressing overall project risks through effective conflict resolution with the project team and stakeholders
- Translating project requirements into tasks, establishing priorities for individual team members and the overall project
- Effectively communicating and manage expectations of internal and external stakeholders
- Providing regular status reports on project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues to internal and external leadership
- Identifying key decision-makers and cultivate trusted adviser relationships with project and program stakeholders, sponsors, and key figures
- Preparing briefs, presentations, and cost spreadsheets
Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Visio and Office 365 suite; advanced level of MS Project expertise required
- Experience briefing senior leaders and senior government officials
- Exceptional leadership and motivational skills
- Teamwork-oriented, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction
- Strategic thinking, effective problem-solving, and commitment to ensuring client success
- Results-oriented with time management skills and highly organized
- Experience working with clients at all organizational levels with professionalism and strong business acumen
- Ability to analyze and prepare documentation and possess the ability to identify and resolve complex problems
- Experience with automated systems, to include database maintenance and ad hoc reporting
Requirements
- A Master's degree in business management, finance, or engineering from an accredited university with Ten (10) years of progressive experience in managing and executing the planning, provisioning, and delivery of projects; or a Bachelor's degree in business management, finance, or engineering from an accredited university with Fifteen (15) years of progressive experience
- Proficient in creating and editing project documents, materials, and presentations, including schedule management
- Excellent written and oral communication skills when interacting with all levels of the command and demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Background in government contracting, particularly financial aspects, and standard business practices
- A secret security clearance is required, with the ability to obtain a top-secret clearance. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
