Business Development and Capture Manager

Directly support D3 Technologies Program Manager with market analysis, capture management, and bid and proposal activities. Duties will include:

Develop short- and long-term strategy to expand D3 Technologies' presence and market share.

Formulate and support the communication and implementation of an integrated business development, capture, and proposal strategy that clearly highlights the company’s value proposition and discriminators and provides customers a clear and defensible justification for selecting the company for award.

Strong understanding of the NAVAIR and NAVWAR organizations, and ability to cultivate relationships with stakeholders inside the commands.

Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and industry partners to drive collaboration and business development efforts.

Conduct shaping conversations with potential customers in order to identify new business opportunities.

Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential areas for growth.

Manage opportunity pipeline and identify appropriate opportunities based on business capabilities and market landscape.

Coordinate product briefings, lead customer meetings, orchestrate site visits, and manage key stakeholder activities.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals that address customer needs and requirements.

Attend industry conferences, networking events, and customer meetings to promote D3 Technologies' capabilities and offerings.

Lead capture efforts for targeted opportunities, from identification through proposal submission and contract award.

Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams, including technical, finance, and legal, to develop winning capture strategies and solutions.

Conduct competitive assessments, gap analyses, and risk assessments to inform capture planning and decision-making.

Manage the proposal development process, including the creation of compelling value propositions, solution architectures, and pricing strategies.

Ensure compliance with all solicitation requirements and deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

Candidate will

Possess strong organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, and have knowledge or experience with bid and proposal and capture management.

Be eligible to obtain and maintain secret clearance.

Possess a strong professional network within a range of key Prime Contractor and/or Government circles.

Have relevant industry experience and strategic technical insight to generate opportunities in target markets and a proven track record of successful business capture.

Possess a strong understanding of government procurement processes, regulations, and contracting mechanisms (e.g., FAR, DFAR, etc.).

Be a strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and business objectives.

Have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Be willing to travel as needed to attend industry days, customer events, and other business-related activities.

This is a part-time position at 20 hours per week.

Minimum Experience Requirements:

At least ten (10) years of relevant experience.

Minimum Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field

Minimum Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods, in an office environment. Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. repetitively.

Base Salary Range: $75.00-$85.00/hour

This base pay range is specific to residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Washington, and any other state that may require such disclosure. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
