Monitors the daily care of all residentsPerforms skilled nursing tasks as defined by company policy and procedure, and as allowed by state lawDocuments observations, concerns, and changes in resident conditions, incidents, and/or accidents, and ensures that follow-up documentation occurs until the issue is resolved.Communicates resident needs and concerns to family members and physiciansCommunicates with family members, physicians, and other outside healthcare providersRecords and implements physician ordersEnsures that information and interventions recorded on resident service plans are implemented by CaregiversEnsures that Medication Aides are maintaining an orderly medication cart, medication room, and accurate medication administration recordsReceives reports from caregivers before the end of the shiftProvides status reports to oncoming StaffSupervisory/Management:

Assists in shift assignments and ensures that assigned duties are completed in a satisfactory mannerMonitors care staff performance for compliance with established policies and procedures, and to ensure quality resident careManages shift coverage when staff members call in sick for the oncoming shiftResponsible for scheduling and other staffing duties, as requestedDeals appropriately with family member and visitor concerns or complaints, documenting the issues and actions taken through the appropriate reporting mechanismManages minor physical plant issues that arise during assigned shifts, reporting as necessary to Maintenance Director and AdministratorMinimum Eligibility Requirements:

Current state LPN/LVN or RN License if required by StatePrevious experience working with the elderly in a healthcare settingPrevious supervisory experience preferredAbility to establish effective relationships with residents, family members, and staffStrong documentation skillsAbility to represent the facility in a positive and professional manner
