Corporate & Commercial Solicitor

We are looking to recruit a Corporate & Commercial Solicitor who is seeking an opportunity to develop their career and undertake a varied caseload. This position is based in our Edgerton office in Huddersfield, with the potential for hybrid working once settled into the role. We are ideally looking for full-time candidates but will consider part-time for the right individual, with a minimum of 30 hours per week over either 4 or 5 days.The successful candidate will be commercially aware and demonstrate an aptitude for various business-related disciplines. You will have the opportunity to be involved in transactions of all sizes, providing support to local and national owner-managed and SME-sized businesses, from start-ups to established companies.The role will involve, but is not limited to:Share salesAcquisitions and mergersShareholder and investment agreementsYou will be expected to engage in business development and marketing activities for the team, as well as network with clients to build both the firm's reputation and your own. It is essential that you are self-motivated, a team player, and adaptable to working with a wide-ranging client base while providing clear, commercial advice. Excellent client care skills, along with the ability to develop client relationships, are essential. You must possess strong organisational, written, and IT skills.We ideally seek a candidate with 2-5 years PQE as a Corporate & Commercial Solicitor, but applications will be considered from newly qualified solicitors who have undertaken a corporate or corporate and commercial seat as part of their training contract.Salary will be competitive and dependent on experience.
