As a senior technical contributor, you will take a leadership role in defining the next generation of care operations systems used by caregiving business owners and employees worldwide. We're looking for seasoned engineers who are excited to refine market-leading SaaS, invent recommendation systems, and work closely with data science and data analytics to achieve new performance levels of operations and high levels of quality care.This position is on our Growth Technology team that builds and supports systems for small businesses delivering care operations. Hundreds of small businesses worldwide depend on our systems of proprietary and market-leading software to operate their caregiving business. You will deliver new systems and functionality to drive operations workflow with recommendations, prioritization, and automation. We tackle processes from Home caregiver hiring to staffing assignments to demand generation and cost optimization.We have an exciting runway ahead of us. As Honor’s Care Platform grows quickly, building robust and scalable systems is critical. As we make strategic technical investments to modernize our system, we are looking for a senior engineer to help execute our short and long-term architecture goals.The tech stack you'll work with includes:

At least 5 years of professional experience building distributed systems in a product-centric company.You have strong proficiency in building customer-facing applications in Python or similar programming languages.You have extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable and resilient distributed systems and applications.You have experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker).You enjoy collaborating with product managers and other cross-functional stakeholders to understand business problems and translating them into technical solutions.You are adept in leading execution of complex initiatives independently while defining best practices for high-quality software development.You are proficient in identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks, ensuring the systems can handle high volumes of traffic and data.You have experience with observability tools and can define and orchestrate monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system health and uptime.You care about the quality of your team's deliverables and help conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.You demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in teams.You are willing to participate in on-call rotations and provide technical support for production issues as needed.Your skills and experience include:

Experience building asynchronous/event driven systems.Experience working with RPC architecture.Experience working at a technology startup and familiar with the challenges of evolving platform maturity.Experience with leveraging GenAI technology to develop innovative solutions and enhance developer productivity, streamline workflows, and automate repetitive tasks.Perks & benefits:

System Development & Design:

Build and enhance robust backend systems and components in Python, contributing to the existing architectural direction.Proactive Problem Solving:

Contribute to feature development, troubleshooting, and identifying proactive solutions to improve system efficiency and robustness.Stakeholder Collaboration:

Build strong relationships with operations teams, effectively grasp their requirements, and propose feasible technical solutions.Operational Impact:

Analyze the impact of backend choices on business operations, proposing optimizations and advocating for changes for increased efficiency.Qualifications:

Python Expertise:

Significant hands-on experience with Python in a production environment.Independent Execution:

Ability to effectively own tasks, work with minimal oversight and proactively suggest solutions.System-Level Thinking:

Comprehensive understanding of how backend systems fit into a wider landscape, enabling well-informed design decisions.Stakeholder Engagement:

Proven ability to establish positive working relationships, proactively seek stakeholder input, and translate business requirements into actionable technical plans.Adaptability & Growth Mindset:
