Join us and play an important part on our incredible team!What you get to do:This role willlead all aspects of daily operations within one or more of the following Entertainment Operations work groups (stage, performance operations, costume characters, audio, video, lighting, and stagehands). You will:Coach, mentor, direct, evaluate, and schedule staffLead the interview and orientation process of new ambassadorsLead training and development of new and existing ambassadorsWrite evaluations and assist in the development of ambassadorsReview the annual performance appraisal with ambassadorsWork with show producer and performance operations to maintain show standardsMaintain area labor and expense budgetsProduce and maintain accurate documentationMaintain a safe work environment and safety requirementsMaintain cleanliness of all assigned work areasMaintain, uphold and respect all ambassador confidentiality and leadership issuesEnsure excellence in customer service by responding to customer requirements, expectations and needs.Maintain a positive and flexible attitudeModel company trainings related to guest interactions and animal areasOccasionally may assist other locations and areas throughout the park as neededCommunicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our GuestsPerform other duties as assignedWhat it takes to succeed:At least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalent, requiredAt least one year of professional or college-level experience in one of the following areas: theme park, stage, or live audio, film production, etc., requiredAt least six months previous experience in leadership related role, preferredOne year of theme park related experience, preferredPossession of a valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain a company driver’s licenseAbility to meet company driving guidelinesProficient knowledge in one or more areas of theater craft (i.e., dance, performance arts/gymnastics and stage manager, etc.) and/or proficient knowledge in one or more areas of technical theater or live media productions (audio, video, lighting and stagehand)Strong presentation skills including the ability to speak clearly and comfortably in front of large groups and in different environments; including, but not limited to, training classesAble to positively interact with guests and co-workers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needsProficient written and verbal communication skillsHave working knowledge of computer-based resources such as Microsoft OfficeWorking knowledge of park related programs. (i.e. Kronos, SAP, and Concur), preferredAble to complete assigned projects in a timely and professional mannerAbility to handle multiple tasks and maintain a positive and flexible attitude in an ever-changing and fast-paced work environmentProficient organization and planning skillsBe able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if neededPerform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)Be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat.
