Together, we are on a quest to change banking for good.As a Manager in the strategy team of the On Demand Finance Transformation (ODFT) group, you will be part of a small team comprised of internal strategic consultants tasked with driving critical decisions for Finance’s digital transformation. In this role, you will support the Senior Vice President and other executives involved in the Finance Department’s On Demand Finance Transformation.To do this, you will tackle strategic issues and advise teams across Finance. This position will enable you to gain broad exposure to technology and organizational change, which are both paramount to a successful digital transformation. This role will be project-based, with projects typically lasting 1-3 months, ensuring a rich variety of experiences. It requires working effectively on important strategic questions. You will learn and use a hypothesis-driven approach to plan out the work and analysis required to develop the best answers to the important questions you’ll be assigned. The role requires strong business logic, communication abilities, and qualitative and quantitative research and analysis skills. You will partner with subject matter experts from across Finance, Technology, Design, HR, and the broader Capital One organization.This role affords the candidate an opportunity to provide support in evaluating pressing technology challenges and opportunities facing the corporation and the broader banking industry today. The consulting and strategic thinking skills and exposure you will gain through learning about Capital One’s Finance department’s digital transformation initiatives will set you up for success wherever you go next.Responsibilities:Lead research and analysis on strategic questions and execute smaller strategic initiatives to create impactful results from our On Demand Finance Transformation initiative.Serve as an integral member of small project teams, tackling strategic issues and advising Finance’s most senior executives.Produce presentations to drive alignment from Finance executives and associates on results of analyses and recommendations.Maintain strong business partnerships with internal clients and subject matter experts within and outside of Finance.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or Military experience.At least 5 years of experience in finance or consulting.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.Experience working with databases and digital automation.Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.No agencies please.
