What is this role?
As a
Lead Data Analyst
for Cirkul, you will be tackling challenges across Growth/Marketing, Finance, Retail, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Customer Support teams to quickly deliver insights through analysis and experimentation, review and develop metrics, and develop business processes to scale analytics to support a hyper growth business. You will serve as the technical lead and resource for the entire data analytics team.
The ideal candidate must be able to roll up his/her sleeves to work independently and contribute to the output and results. He/she must have the ability to prioritize issues, deal with ambiguity and manage conflicting deadlines. The candidate should also be creative, data-driven, and aggressive in delivering results. Mentor and coach junior analysts on the team.
What does an average day look like?
Driving Results:
Design and develop KPIs tracking business performance across departments
Build and automate tools to surface key data to stakeholders across a broad range of data literacy levels
Taking Ownership:
Monitor KPIs to identify potential opportunities to improve company performance
Making Decisions:
Collect, analyze, and explain data to key stakeholders and executive leadership
Cultivating Relationships:
Be a data evangelist: collaborate with both technical and non-technical teammates to supplement decisions with quantitative evidence
Instilling Trust:
Always auditing: build and maintain processes to track data and troubleshoot errors
Customer Focus:
Provide ad hoc analysis and forecasting as needed across a diverse set of teams
Evaluate reporting needs and work with key stakeholders to prioritize overall strategy of the data team in answering company goals
What background should you have?
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Engineering, Finance, Math, or Statistics. Master’s preferred
Data-driven, detail-oriented individual with excellent analysis and problem-solving abilities
5+ years of DTC, Ecommerce, and/or Retail experience, preferred
Fluency in data analysis and data-driven problem solving; a track record of using data to communicate results to key stakeholders
Excellent verbal and written communication skills: the ability to present complex data in a digestible format to stakeholders of all data literacy levels
Fluency with advanced SQL and Python
Experience with experimentation and statistical analysis (e.g. causal inference)
Comfortable creating dashboards in a BI framework such as PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, or comparable tools
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously: superb time management and prioritization ability
Ability to work independently and autonomously, as well as part of a team
