NMMI is a state-supported, co-educational college preparatory high school and junior college, complete with Junior and Senior ROTC programs. With a Corps of Cadets numbering up to 1,000 young men and women, NMMI provides an accredited college preparatory curriculum on the high school level and is currently developing a new middle school.Position:

The Director reports to the Chief Academic Officer/Dean of Academics and is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the Division. The Director is responsible for planning, budgeting, and staffing in support of the academic, instructional, and information needs of faculty, staff, and cadets. There is considerable interaction, directly and indirectly, with faculty, cadets, administrators, visitors, donors, alumni, and staff. This is an exempt, 12-month, full-time position. The salary is $80,000.00 – $90,000.00. The job description is available upon request.Tasks:Direct and administer programs of the Division in accordance with various published policies, procedures, manuals, and handbooks including, but not limited to Board of Regents Policies and Procedures Manual, Human Resources and Business Office procedures, Toles Learning Resource Center Charter, Paul Horgan Library, Special Collections and Archives Policies and Procedures Handbook, Faculty Handbook, NMMI Catalog, accreditation, and athletic organization handbooks and guidelines, and those of the NMMI Foundation specifically in relation to endowment funds.Serve as Associate Dean of Cadet Academic Services Division and Chair of the Institute’s Student Success Committee.Develop programs and policies in support of academic success.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge:Knowledge of standard office software and applications such as, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge of educational software such as, but not limited to, Canvas, Self-Service, On Base, identification card software, and other vendor-specific software and applications.Knowledge of NMMI-created software and applications such as, but not limited to, NSH System, School Dude, Early Warning System, and ISCT Job Request.Knowledge of teaching and instructional strategies appropriate for various audiences and group dynamics.Knowledge of the principles, standards, and best practices of academic advising.Qualifications:Required:Master’s degree from an accredited educational institution in the field of education administration, library science, or a related field.Five (5) years of experience with increasing responsibilities in an academic administration.Experience in budget and program planning, development, and distribution.Demonstrated expertise in information technology.Preferred:Why Should You Apply?NM Educational Retirement Board (ERB) pension plan through the State of New Mexico.Competitive pay.Excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance through the State of New Mexico.Positive workplace culture; supportive and encouraging team.Opportunity to work with and meet diverse staff, faculty, and cadets.Paid holidays, annual and sick leave.How to Apply:
